Subscription, Trial, and Cancellation Policy

Plans and machine limits

Current plan prices, machine limits, and additional-machine rates always live on our Pricing page, which controls if anything on this page ever conflicts with it. Operations is hard-capped at its included machine limit. Business Pro includes up to 50 active machines, and each additional active machine costs $1 per month. Only active machines above the included 50 are charged.

The Intelligence add-on is a separate $19.99/month subscription on top of an active Business Pro plan, billed and canceled independently of your plan subscription. It is not itself a plan and has no machine limit; it inherits whatever plan you are on. It adds a monthly allotment of AI actions to the one Business Pro includes, and you may add action packs to it at $5.00/month each, each adding more actions every month. A pack added during a billing month is charged for the rest of that month when you add it; a pack removed stays until the end of the billing month already paid for. Actions do not carry over from month to month. See our Pricing page for current details.

The free trial

New customers who have never held a Podtega subscription can start a 30-day free trial of the Business Pro plan. It covers one machine, and no payment card is required to begin.

The trial does not include the Intelligence add-on or any AI-assisted feature. Those run on a third-party AI provider whose terms we are not willing to send a prospective customer's business data through before there is a paid account behind it. Everything else on the Business Pro plan is available for the full 30 days.

Add a payment card before the trial ends and the Business Pro plan starts on the day the trial ends, charged at its then-current price. Add none and the subscription cancels automatically — you are charged nothing and no card is on file to charge. One trial per customer: if you have held any Podtega plan subscription before, subscribing bills immediately as described below.

When your first payment occurs

Outside the trial, your first charge occurs when you subscribe, for both plans and for the Intelligence add-on. On a trial, the first charge occurs when the trial ends and only if a payment card has been added. If a discount code is applied at checkout, the first charge reflects it.

Renewal

Plans may be billed monthly or annually. Monthly plans renew monthly, and annual plans renew annually, at the then-current displayed price, until canceled. The Intelligence add-on is billed separately each month and renews monthly regardless of your plan's billing period.

How to cancel

Cancellation is handled in-app only, from the Billing page inside your Podtega account ("Manage payment method & invoices"), which opens our payment processor's secure billing portal. Podtega does not currently accept cancellation requests by email or phone.

When cancellation becomes effective

Cancellation stops the next renewal. Unless configured otherwise in our payment processor, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, and you retain access to the Service through that date. On an annual plan that period is the remainder of the year you have already paid for, not the end of the current month.

Access after cancellation

You retain access to the Service through the end of the billing period in which you canceled. After that, your account access ends, though your data is retained as described in our Privacy Policy unless you separately request deletion.

Refund policy

Subscription charges are non-refundable. This applies to monthly charges, additional-machine charges, plan upgrades, and the Intelligence add-on's monthly subscription charge, including any action packs on it, and unused actions are not refunded.

Failed-payment handling

If a subscription payment fails, we will attempt to collect payment again. Your plan may be marked past due during this process; continued failure to collect payment may result in suspension of your account.

Upgrade and downgrade treatment

You can upgrade your plan at any time from the Billing page; the new plan takes effect immediately, and the prorated cost difference for the remainder of your current billing period is charged to your card on file right away.

You can also switch to a smaller plan from the Billing page. If you have more machines in service than the smaller plan includes, you choose which machines the plan covers before the change is applied — we never make that choice for you. The machines you do not keep are switched off your plan rather than deleted: their records and full sales history remain in your account and in any reports already issued, they stop counting toward your plan's machine limit, and they stop importing new sales until you switch them back on. Switching a machine back on is immediate and free, subject to your plan's machine limit at that time. Plan changes we cannot complete for any other reason are handled by Podtega support at hello@podtega.com.

Data copy and deletion after cancellation

After cancellation, you may request a full copy of your data or deletion of your account through our Account Data Request page. See our Privacy Policy for our data retention practices.
